Listen: Jenny And Johnny live performance on Mountain Stage

From Mountain Stage:
Jenny Lewis, of west coast rockers Rilo Kiley, and singer/songwriter/guitarist Johnathan Rice met during the recording of Lewis’ first solo album, Rabbit Fur Coat. Rice joined the touring band and has performed with Lewis since, including the subsequent tour for 2008’s Acid Tongue. During downtime on that tour, the pair began writing what would become their premiere release as Jenny & Johnny, I Am Having Fun Now.

Joined by Tod Wisenbaker on guitar and bass, and drummer Jason Boesel, the band performs several songs from Fun, plus some tunes from the songwriters' individual catalogs: “End of the Affair” from Rice’s Further North and Lewis’ “Carpet Baggers” from Acid Tongue. They close the set with a evocative rendition of the Felice & Boudleaux Bryant classic “Love Hurts,” which was last sung on Mountain Stage by Emmylou Harris and Buddy Miller.
