Listen: Elliott Smith "Untitled (Mailman Thinks Me Dumb)" (previously unreleased track)

From 107.7 The End: Live From Nowhere Near You Vol.2 is turning out to be quite the star studded affair, after just last week posting an ancient Modest Mouse demo, and a collab between The Strokes and Eddie Vedder appearing on the benefit album, we’re now treated to something really special, a previously unreleased track premiered via p4k from former Portlander, the no longer with us Elliott Smith. The track comes to the compilation by way of an old friendship the albums curator had with Smith dating back to their highschool days as he explains in the press release for the track below. He also points out this version is a rough mix direct from the DAT tapes and is different than the one appearing on the actual benefit record which has been retitled as “The Real Estate”.
